Two Modest Suburban Family Homes In Perth’s Southern Corridor Were Last Week’s Most Viewed Residential Listings In Western Australia.

Data shows that more users visited the property at 68 Forrest Road, Fremantle than any other listing in WA in the week from August 10 to 17.

The property, offered for sale by Paul Parkinson from Nook Property East Fremantle, is selling by “open negotiation”. The price stood at $575,000 late last week with three bidders vying for the home.

Marketed as a “peaceful private escape”, the modern four bedroom, two bathroom home in Perth’s port city has an expansive north-facing backyard with native garden areas and an abundance of fruit trees, including lemon, loquat, passionfruit, mandarin and grapefruit.

There is reverse cycle air-conditioning, polished timber floors, solar hot water and gas heating.

Meanwhile, the second most viewed property on last week was 7 Dundee Close, Warnbro.

Agent Paul Slayford, from Destiny Property Group, says a price reduction to $299,000 and flood of social media marketing had reinvigorated interest in the property, which was listed for sale three months ago.

“When we dropped the price, I put the link everywhere I could online and since then I’ve had call after call after call,” Slayford says.

“People have been liking it and tagging other people in on the posts.”

Set on a 692sqm block, the four bedroom, two bathroom family home has timber flooring, renovated bathrooms and a wood fire in the open plan kitchen, meals and living area.

Outside, there is a big backyard with a patio, bore reticulation and a double garage with drive through access.

“It’s a great price. I had a look around and there are probably four or five (properties) at that $299,000 price or just under that mark,” Slayford says.

“There are buyers out there. There’s definitely buyers around but they’re ruthless. They know it’s a buyers’ market and they go in and drive a tough deal.”
