Robin Welsh

Robin Welsh fell in love with real estate when he bought his first home at the young age of 18. He then went on to purchase 4 properties by the time he was 20. By the time Robin was 24, he had bought and sold more properties than most people twice his age. This was the beginning of his desire to be in real estate. It would now only be a matter of time before Robin would enter the world of real estate and stand out in a very competitive industry.

"I had only paid rent for a few months after moving out of home, before I realised it was just good money down the drain, so I bought my first house," Robin said.

"I joined the WA Police Service so I would have a steady job to pay my mortgage’. "I had to grow up fast being thrown into front line policing, where it is necessary to quickly sum up situations and create a solution that has to be sold to the people involved before a situation can get out of control."

Robin not only enjoyed his time in the Police Service, he believes it also gave him the training, experience and essential skills that have been invaluable to him today in his real estate career.

"When you add the discipline, routine and the amount of liaising needed in policing, I was well prepared to enter the real estate industry."

They say, "actions speak louder than words" and Robin proved this adage himself by winning the REIWA Rookie of the Year Award and was named a REIWA Master Salesperson selling a staggering 136 properties in his first eighteen months of being in real estate.

After spending a successful 4 years at Acton Real Estate as a Sales Executive, Director and Licensee and being named the groups Number 1 Selling Agent for number or properties sold, Robin took the next step and in 2012 WELSH Real Estate became a reality. Being firmly entrenched in the City of Belmont, Robin decided it was time to open a local office which reflects his strong dedication and passion for the area.

Robin had a very clear vision of what he was wanting to achieve and it is evident he has achieved it and more. WELSH Real Estate has received a number of awards as well as having an outstanding and highly regarded team in Sales and Property Management.

What is it that drives Robin to such success? “I am just excited about real estate. When I appraise or list a property for sale, I can’t wait to get home to tell my wife all about it. Equally, the thrill of making a sale gives me a real buzz, because I know people are realising their dreams with my help."

Robin enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids when not at the office or with clients. Basketball is a huge part of their life with both kids playing as well as Robin. "I also make time to keep fit by running, cycling and swimming. I’d have to say my biggest hobby is managing my own property portfolio. I know how fortunate I am to have such a passion for my work, so much so that it is part of my personal life as well."

Robin started his real estate career focussing on sales but is one of those rare breads who has transitioned well to the administration and property management side of the business. He has a great attention to detail in everything he deals with and has taken that to the next level with the way he has structured the office and in particular his Property Management & Administration teams.

Property Management is a large focus of Robin & the team at WELSH Real Estate which has seen them grow from strength to strength over the years. He has an obsession with checklists and procedures and ensures all his staff have the same high level of communication that he insists all of WELSH Real Estate’s customers receive. WELSH Real Estate successfully follows a Task Based system which Robin would love to chat to you about if you are looking to get your property managed.
